1. Day 1 Depart North America

   Fly to Santiago, Chile. Upon arrival, you will be met by your Andean Discovery guide and transferred to your hotel.

   Meals: on your own

2. Day 2 Fly Eastern Island

   Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Santiago airport to assist with the check-in process for your flight to Easter Island. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel and after lunch, enjoy in free afternoon on your own. Opt for a walk around the town or along the oceanfront area.

3. Day 3 Visit Moai sites & Rano Raraku volcano

   This morning with your private guide and vehicle drive to the south coast and visit representative examples of not restored Moai statues, Ahus Vaihu in the bay of Hanga Te’e, and Akahanga, where supposedly the famous king Hotu Matua was buried. Proceed to Rano Raraku, a quarry of almost 900 stone statues, 397 of them still lying or standing on the slopes of the extinct volcano with a crater lake. Then visit Ahu Tongariki (restored with 15 Moais), the most recent and most extensive restoration on the island. Drive to the east coast and visit Ahu Te Pito Kura and the “Navel of the World”. Last but not least visit the beach of Anakena with its restored Ahus Nau Nau and Ature Huke. There you will have the opportunity to enjoy the warm Pacific Ocean. Back to hotel.

4. Day 4 Visit Rano Kau volcano, Orongo Village & Moai statue

   Drive up the extinct volcano Rano Kau, appreciate on the way a view over the whole island and see its distinct geological features, and proceed to an outlook at the crater lake. Afterward drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place and you can see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture, enjoy the breathtaking view towards the 3 islets Motu Nui, Motu Iti, and Motu Kao Kao opposite the coast. This afternoon drives to restored Ahu Akivi with 7 Moais, built in the middle of the island. The legend tells us that these statues represent the 7 explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by king Hotu Matua. Proceed to the unrestored Ahu Hanga Poukura. Then visit the topknot-quarry Puna Pau with its red scoria stone, where all the Pukaos were made.

5. Day 5 Explore the sites of your choice in Easter Island

   Free day to explore the sites of your choice with a private guide and vehicle or opt to relax on your own and enjoy activities from your hotel.

6. Day 6 Fly to Santiago

   This morning you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Santiago. Upon arrival, you will be met by Anden Discovery staff and transferred to your hotel.

7. Day 7 Fly to Atacama

   Early morning flight to Atacama, after lunch, explore the Moon Valley.

   This morning fly to Atacama. Upon arrival, you will be met by your Andean Discovery guide and transferred to your hotel.

   In the afternoon, explore the Valley of the Moon a spectacular geological formation created through the conflicting pressures of the Andes and the Domeyko Mountain Range.

8. Day 8 Excursions in Atacama Desert

   Explore Atacama Desert. Ride or explore the Altiplanic Lagoons & Atacama Salar.

   This morning you will explore the southeast region of San Pedro. The first stop will be at a crossroads with the old Inca Trail, continue to Socaire, a local village known for its traditional church and historical terraced plantations of quinoa and purple potatoes. Go around the high Andean lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques.

9. Day 9 Fly to Santiago

   This morning fly to Santiago. Enjoy some free time on your own.

   This morning, you will explore the Tatio Geysers, which consist of large pools of boiling water and mud, fumaroles, and natural hot springs. This is also a good chance to appreciate the unique flora and fauna adapted to flourish in this extreme environment.

   In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport to you take your flight to Santiago. Upon arrival, you will be met by your Andean Discovery guide and transferred to your hotel.

10. Day 10 Fly to Patagonia

    Take a 3-hour flight to Chile’s Patagonia. Enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes of your hotel.

    Early morning departure by van transfer to Torres del Paine National Park, with border crossing into Chile on the way. Arrive at Hotel Las Torres around noon, enjoy lunch and this afternoon opt for one of the many included a la carte activities.

11. Day 11 Excursions in Torres del Paine National Park

    See the highlights of Torres del Paine National Park, its glaciers, lakes, and mountains, in a single day.

    Full day to explore Las Torres National Park. Spend the next two days trekking across plains, through forests, and on the rocky mountainsides of Las Torres National Park. The unmistakable beauty here is not only in the land topography, visible from high peaks and low valleys, but in the flora, fauna, and human history as well. Choose from a variety of half-day and full-day excursions, with expert guides that will lead you in the vehicle, on foot, and on horseback along the park’s most scenic areas.
